Self Service

You know your the sixth kid when you have to feed yourself at 4 months old. Maycee is well loved, don't misunderstand, but she is already having to fend for herself in our crazy family. I just love this bouncy seat as it allows for hands free feeding. She loves to eat, so now we are just trying to teach her how to make her own bottles. Who are we kidding, we all know she gets the most attention out of anyone.

Daddy Daughter Date

One of the perks of Aaron working with the youth is that he often goes on youth temple trips. Haylee played with the graphics on this photo and I just love it. Haylee and Aaron have a great relationship (as good as a relationship with a teenager can be) and I am so grateful that she has such an amazing male influence in her life. I tell her all the time not to settle for anyone less than as amazing as her dad is. Hopefully this will keep her single for a while! Haylee really is a great kid and we are so grateful for the good choices she is making in her life.

Holy Moley, What a Goalie!

Brady has been a goalie for the last three seasons and has decided that's where he wants to stay. Being a goalie suits his personality more so than the other positions because it's just him versus the puck rather than him having to check other players for the puck (most of you know that Brady doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body). Since he has decided on being a goalie, we finally bit the bullet and got him his very own, authentic goalie helmet. Like most hockey gear, these helmets are not cheap, but it was getting to the point where his other team mates were thinking of starting a collection for getting Brady a goalie helmet. We are approaching the last few months of the season (yeah!) and we hope this new helmet will make Brady even harder to beat in net! Go buddy!

This is how Brady looks when he is facing a break away shot!

Play "Date"

Before our babies were born, we got them engaged. Sound wierd? Yes, I know, but mostly it's because Becky and I want to be mother in laws together! Ha! The Hansens were over for a visit, so we decided Maycee and Logan should have some play time. Aren't they cute? How much do you wanna bet they will end up despising each other?
How could Logan not fall in love with that face??

Dish Duty

We have been getting a lot of requests to see the house, and while Aaron and I would rather slip the house quietly into the background, I don't think it's possible. We are grateful for all the support we received while enduring the misery of construction and are happy it's just about over. We are in the unpacking and finishing touches stage. I have to figure out where I want to hang all my pictures, how to organize my kitchen cabinets, and find places to put all our crap. Oh well, I'll just do a big garage sale instead. Haylee and Brady are getting used to cleaning up the Sunday dinner mess in our new kitchen. Hey, with 2 dishwashers, they both can have their own and not have to fight over who has to do the dishes anymore. I knew I was smart in getting 2 dishwashers. I will put some more pics of the rest of the house as soon as I get it "picture perfect"; most likely by next Christmas.

Happy New Year!!

Okay, so it's half way through January, but I am finally getting our new decade going on the blog. Happy 2010 everyone!! We plan on an amazing year this year full of crazy kid activities, constant running here, there, and everywhere, and most of all, taking a well deserved break from home construction. We are 98% done on the house and it is amazing to just sit and hang out as a family. So far, my favorite room is the laundry. I guess that's what happens when you do laundry for 7 people at a laundromat for 3 months. The kitchen and home theater are close seconds. You are all welcome to come hang out with us anytime! Wishing you all a healthy, happy, and prosperous new year!
